The province of Veneto accounts for much of the great Veneto Plain, but to its north it thrusts through the mountains to reach the Austrian border. The bulk of our hotels are on the plain, in both countryside and in the plain's great cities, Vicenza, Padua and Treviso.

If you want to stay within easy reach of Venice, there are plenty of choices. To the north of the province, where the foothills of the Dolomites begin to rise from the flat landscape, you will find some delightful places; the charming hilltop village of Asolo is particularly well served. To the west, there are choices in the vibrant and lovely city of Verona, in the fertile wine- coun­try around it, and along the eastern shores of Lake Garda.
